Shaytan 1: DON'T WEAR HIJAB, YOU WILL LOOK UGLY

Surat Al-Fatiha (#1)

always and forever, Alhamdulillah

Rely ONLY on Allah(swt)

Umm Salamah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported: Whenever the Prophet (PBUH) stepped out of his house, he would say,
"Bismillah, tawakkaltu `alallah. Allahumma inni a`udhu bika an adilla aw udalla, aw azilla aw uzalla, aw azlima aw uzlama, aw ajhala aw yujhala `alayya".
"[I go forth. (I begin with the Name of Allah, I trust in Allah; O Allah! I seek refuge in You from leaving or being led astray, or against slipping or being caused to slip; or doing injustice or being done injustice; or doing wrong or having wrong done to me)]".

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi reported it. According to At-Tirmidhi
, this Hadith is classified as Hasan Sahih. Its wording is from Abu Dawud].

Patience of a Believer

Sa‘d ibn Abî Waqqâs (RA) said:

“I asked the Prophet (SAAS) who among the people are most severely tried? He said, ‘The Prophets, then the right acting people, and so on down through various categories of people. Man will be tested according to the strength of his faith. The stronger his faith, the more severe his trial, and the weaker his faith, the lighter his trial. The believer will be continually tested until he walks on earth with all his wrong actions forgiven’.” (al-Bukhârî)

Promise of Paradise for the Believers :)

[71] The Believers, men and women, are protectors, one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practice regular charity, and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will Allah pour His Mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise.

[72]
Allah hath promised to Believers - men and women - Gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein, and beautiful mansions in Gardens of everlasting bliss. But the greatest bliss is the Good Pleasure of Allah: that is the supreme felicity.

Supplication in the Night Prayer

Ibn 'Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, reported:
When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) got up during the night to pray, he used to say:

O Allah, to You be the praise; You are the Light of the heavens and the earth. To You be the praise; You are the Supporter of the heavens and the earth. To You be the praise; You are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is therein. You are the Truth; Your promise is True, the meeting with You is True, Paradise is true, Hell is true, the Hour is true. O Allah, I submit to You; affirm my faith in You; repose my trust in You, and I return to You for repentance; by Your help I have disputed; and to You I have come for decision, so forgive my earlier and later sins, the sins that I committed in secret and openly. You are my Lord. There is no god but You.

How to fight Sleepless Nights

If you toss and turn during the night without being able to fall asleep, do the following:

1. Remember Allah with Prophetic supplications or supplications taken from the Qur'an:
Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. (Qur'an 13: 28)

2. Avoid sleeping during the day, except when you have no other choice:

And have made the day for livelihood. (Qur'an 78: 11)

3. Read or write until sleep comes:

And say: My Lord! Increase me in knowledge. ‘(Qur'an 20: 114)

4. Work hard during the day:

And [it is He no] makes the day Nushur [i.e. getting up and going about here and there for daily work, etc., after one's sleep at night or like resurrection after one's death]. (Qur'an 25: 47)

Clothing, Blanket, and School Supply Drive for Afghanistan

The largest school supply drive ever for Afghanistan is HERE NOW.

During nearly three decades of war and destruction in Afghanistan, children were among the main victims. War not only killed and injured thousands of innocent Afghan children, but even the thousands who were not physically injured were deprived of their basic right to receive an education. Today, one of the big challenges facing poor Afghan families is how to provide their school-bound children with the supplies they need to succeed in the classroom. These families need assistance to send their children to school.

Universities, community colleges, and high schools throughout the entire state of California are participating in a school supply drive for the impoverished youth of a country confronted with a 28% literacy rate.

Acceptable donations: pens, pencils, rulers, notebooks, folders, papers, binders, sharpeners, erasers, highlighters, ANYTHING RELATED TO SCHOOL.

ALL THE SCHOOL SUPPLIES MUST BE NEW - Deadline is November 14th!

Acceptable donations: clothes (especially for children), blankets, and hijabs. All clothes should be of a quality you would wear, too. All school supplies (except backpacks) ought to be new.

Contact the person at your school (or the area/school nearest you) for more information on how to donate or help.

Don't Forget to Fast 6 Days of Shawwal!!!!!

"Whoever fasts Ramadan, and six of Shawwal, it will be as if he/she has fasted for a whole year."

Hadith Qudsi 10 - Fasting

On the authority of Abu Harayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (PBUH), who said: Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says:
Fasting is Mine and it I who give reward for it. [A man] gives up his sexual passion, his food and his drink for my sake. Fasting is like a shield, and he who fasts has two joys: a joy whin he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. The change in the breath of the mouth of him who fasts is better in Allah's estimation than the smell of musk.
It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).

Turn to Allah(swt) for Forgiveness

Anas Ibn Maalik (rAa) said: I heard Allaah’s Messenger (sAaw) saying:
“Allaah (swt) said, ‘Oh son of Aadam, as long as you call upon Me and hope in Me, I will forgive you for whatever (sins are) with you and I will not mind. Oh son of Aadam, if your sins were to reach the clouds in the sky and then were you to ask for My forgiveness, I would forgive you and would not mind. Oh son of Aadam, if you were to come to Me with sins as much as the earth and then you meet Me not worshipping anything with Me, I would come to you with as much forgiveness’.”

Saheeh: Recorded by At-Tirmidhee (no. 3540). Shaykh Al-Albaanee declared it to be authentic in “Saheeh Sunan At-Tirmidhee” (no. 2805).
