Jazakum Allahu Khayran

For Hijab Exchange: Attendees are asked to bring new/clean/good conditioned hijaabs; as many as they can. Each person will put their hijaabs in a pile and pick a number. Attendees will, according to the number they drew, pic a new hijab of their choice. Attendees go in order till they choose as many hijaabs as they put in).

Three White Days for the Month of Rabi' Al-Thaani

Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

Just a Reminder, InshaAllah the three white days (13, 14, and 15) for the month of Rabi' Al-Thaani will be from this Monday, March 29th - Wednesday, March 31st. Try and fast them if you can.

Jareer ibn ‘Abdullaah (rAa) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and ayaam al-beed are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth." [Al-Nasaa'i; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheel al-Targheeb]

Qatada ibn Milhan said, "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to command us to fast the white days: the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth." [Abu Dawud]

Ibn 'Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did not fail to fast the white days either when at home or on a journey." [an-Nasa'i]

Beneficial Du'a

The Prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) used to encourage us with the following du’a which he taught to Abu Bakr (radiyallahu 'anhu):

الشرك فيكم أخفى من دبيب النمل وسأدلك على شيء إذا فعلته أذهب عنك صغار الشرك وكباره تقول اللهم إني أعوذ بك أن أشرك بك وأنا أعلم وأستغفرك لما لا أعلم - تقولها ثلاث مرات

“The Shirk among you is more hidden than the crawling of an ant, but I shall guide you to that which if you do it, will protect you from both minor shirk and the greater type as well; to say three times:
Allahumma innee a’uthu bika an ushrika bika wa ana a’lam wa-astaghfiruka limaa laa a’lam
(O Allah, I seek refuge in You from that I ascribe partners to You knowingly and I seek forgiveness from You for those things which I do not know).”

[Sahih – Albaani, Sahih al-Jaami’ as-Sagheer; similar narration in Bukhari’s Adab al-Mufrad]

Being concerned with beneficial matters

On the authority of Abu Hurairah(radiyallahu 'anhu) who said: The Messenger of Allah(sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) said: "Part of the perfection of someone's Islam is his leaving alone that which does not concern him." [Tirmidhi]
